Attention all Konkani speakers from Ponda Goa!!!

We have an exciting opportunity for you to contribute towards the development of our mother tongue- Konkani!!

AI4Bharat, a research center at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras, is undertaking a project to develop AI technology in all the 22 recognized languages of India, Konkani being one of them. As a part of this project, AI4Bharat is embarking on a new phase to document the dialects and accents of Konkani spoken across all the talukas of Goa. And hence, we are looking for passionate citizens native/residents of Goa who can devote 3-4 hours of their day(Just 1 day, promise!) to help us record their speech and dialect.

Your speech donations will be used to train computer models and develop technology that can understand and communicate in Konkani, making the technology accessible to all the strata of our society, in turn helping preserve and advance our Konkani language.

Your contribution is valuable, and we assure you that your efforts will not go unrecognized. You will be compensated with fair and appropriate remuneration(Rs. 500/- per recording) as a token of appreciation for your efforts towards enriching our mother tongue.
